‘The Pleasure of Sad Songs’ shares the journey of a mental health family carer told through beautiful songs, fascinating memoir and nostalgic family images.
This 80-minute theatrical presentation was written, performed and produced by Leah Cotterell.
In 2016 the show made a public debut
to sold-out houses at the Judith Wright Centre
of Contemporary Arts,
Leah’s story has also been presented
to conferences for mental health consumers,
family carers and educators.
Nationally, many people have heard
Leah speak and sing in an interview
about her family story for the
ABC radio ‘Conversations’ series.
