Leah and her band mates, Dave McGuire and Helen Russell, perform brilliant blues, rock, and folk songs that are full of spirit and groove. The Bad Choices throw themselves into their work, drawing on influences from early women’s blues, crackling 50s and 60s R&B, the jazz end of soul, classic pop, and the finest singer-songwriters. Expect to hear songs from Koko Taylor and Jimmy Reed, Ray Charles and Dinah Washington, Al Green, Etta James and Esther Phillips, Warren Zevon, Bonnie Raitt and John Prine - among other best-loved classics. In 2025 The Bad Choices launched at the Brisbane Jazz Club, played the ZZZ Blues Show benefit and the annual Blues for Change concert. The Bad Choices can play as a trio, quartet, quintet and if you wish, they can add horns.
